A growing family was in search of an estate lot in the suburbs of Boston. They had already undertaken two other large projects with the Soderholms, and turned once again to our team to find the right plot of land, manage permitting and assemble a design team.

The family wanted a stately home created for generations to come in a timeless design and of exceptional quality. Our goal was to create a new home that once landscaped, would look like it had been there for years.

An interior designed for casual living and entertaining was important for the clients and their young family. The informal spaces were given an industrial feel using steel and reclaimed wood. By considering technology in the early stages of construction -- from design to structural to millwork phases -- technology was seamlessly integrated throughout the home, from tech-enabled shades to near-invisible built in A/V equipment.
